Explorium shuts down on 2 December 2026
The best Explorium alternative for reaching decision-makers
You didn’t plan on switching data vendors this month. We’ll make the switch the easy part. Swordfish gives you 80M+ verified US mobile numbers, real-time validation on every lookup, and an API and MCP for your agents, on uncapped plans instead of credit packs. Self-serve from $99 a month, live in minutes. Uncapped access to millions of records, or a custom data workflow, is one chat with sales.
Trusted by 100,000+ sales and recruiting professionals, including teams at Uber, Accenture, Lockheed Martin and BAE Systems.
We know what this week looks like
A vendor you built on gave you a month’s notice. Your pipeline doesn’t pause while you run a vendor evaluation. Here is how we take each worry off your plate.
“I have less than a month and a full calendar.”
Your trial is live in minutes. A list migrates in an afternoon. If your export is large, ask sales to run the enrichment for you.
“My agents stop working on 2 December.”
Swap AgentSource for the Swordfish API or MCP. For the contact half it is the same job: an agent asks for a person and gets back a validated mobile and email.
“I already paid Explorium.”
Explorium has said it will refund unused credits. Put that refund to work on a plan with no credits to run out of.
“I don’t want to be here again next year.”
Swordfish has sold the same thing since 2019: accurate mobiles and emails on a flat subscription, to 100,000+ professionals. Same product, same pricing model, nothing to pivot away from.
“Explorium did something no off-the-shelf tool does.”
Tell sales what the workflow was. Custom enrichment, matching and delivery pipelines on your own data are a normal request for us, not an exception.
“I can’t run a six-week procurement.”
Self-serve plans take a credit card and nothing else. Enterprise terms, SSO and invoicing are one chat away. The Talk to sales button opens it.
Two ways in. Pick by volume.
Small and steady goes self-serve today. Uncapped, millions of records, or anything custom goes through sales, and sales is a live chat, not a form.
Self-serve
Individuals and small teams
For reps and recruiters doing human-paced outreach. Uncapped reveals under a fair-use policy that someone doing real outreach almost never hits, and no credits to ration.
- Professional: $99/month, or $49/month billed annually. One user, unlimited mobiles and emails, Chrome extension, Prospect Search.
- Team & Scale: $299/month, or $149/month billed annually. Unlimited users, bulk file enrichment, full API access.
- 7-day free trial with 10 credits so you can test our data against your Explorium export first.
Talk to sales
High-volume prospecting and custom data
For teams that pulled serious volume through Explorium, or built something on top of it. Uncapped and unrestricted access to millions of records, delivered the way you need them.
- Bulk data delivery and custom API or MCP volumes with no throttling
- Custom data workflows: enrichment, matching and delivery pipelines built around your data
- Unlimited seats with SSO, full commercial licensing, custom invoicing, a dedicated success manager
- CCPA-compliant and a registered data broker
The data, side by side
Explorium’s figures come from its own comparison pages. Swordfish’s come from ours. Both are vendor claims, which is why the Swordfish trial exists: export your list from Explorium, run it through us, and judge the match rate yourself.
80M+
verified US mobile numbers, validated against carrier data
30%
higher mobile accuracy than every external data source and API in our benchmarks. Ask sales for the methodology.
82%
first-dial accuracy on cell phone numbers
95%+
email accuracy, with catch-all validation beyond standard SMTP checks
| Data | Explorium (as published) | Swordfish.ai (as published) |
|---|---|---|
| Mobile phone numbers | Included in contact records; no mobile count published | 80M+ verified US mobiles, sourced across 200+ cell phone data partners and validated with carrier data |
| Mobile accuracy | 95% “people accuracy” across all fields; no mobile-specific figure published | 82% first-dial accuracy; 30% better than every external source and API in our benchmarks |
| Emails | Included; 95% people accuracy, no email-specific figure published | 169M+ emails, 118M+ of them personal; 95%+ accuracy, 90%+ on the first email returned |
| Line type and carrier detail | Not published | Every number labelled mobile, landline or VoIP, with carrier and owner validation, so your dialler never wastes a call on a dead line |
| How data is verified | ML deduplication across 50+ providers when data is ingested | At the moment you search: carrier-backed line-active and owner checks on phones; mailbox-level catch-all validation on emails |
| AI agents | AgentSource MCP server, discontinued 2 December 2026 | Swordfish MCP: connect Claude, ChatGPT or your own agent and ask for a person’s contact details in plain language |
| Geographic coverage | 150+ countries | Global outside the EU, strongest in the US. Swordfish does not supply contact data on EU-based individuals. |
Mobiles are where the two diverge most. Explorium published one blended accuracy figure for all people data and never broke out mobiles. Swordfish publishes mobile accuracy on its own because the phone number is the product: every number is checked live against carrier data, labelled by line type, and triangulated across hundreds of sources rather than pulled from a single static database.
Where Swordfish fits, and where it doesn’t
Explorium bundled company intelligence with contact finding. Swordfish is the contact layer, and it goes deeper than Explorium did on the part that gets someone on the phone. Here is an honest split, so you don’t find out the hard way.
Switch to Swordfish if you used Explorium to
- Find mobile numbers and direct dials for decision-makers
- Get personal and work emails that actually deliver
- Enrich a list of names or LinkedIn URLs with phones and emails
- Prospect from LinkedIn, GitHub, X or Facebook profiles
- Give an AI agent a way to look up how to reach a person, through an API or MCP
- Source candidates and reach them before a competing recruiter does
Pair it with another tool if you relied on
- Deep firmographic and technographic company search
- Trigger events and hiring, funding or news signals
- Contact data on people based in the EU
Something in between, like a custom enrichment or matching workflow on your own data? That is a sales conversation, and one we have often. Open live chat.

Built for the teams Explorium served
Sales teams
Stop guessing at email patterns. Pull a prospect’s mobile straight off LinkedIn, or enrich your whole target account list in one upload, and push it to Salesforce or HubSpot.
Recruiters
Reach passive candidates on their personal mobile and personal email, not a work inbox they never check. Native integrations with Bullhorn, Crelate, Loxo and other ATS platforms.
Builders and AI agents
Replace your AgentSource calls with the Swordfish API, or plug the Swordfish MCP into Claude, ChatGPT or your own agent. Zapier is live today. Need volume beyond fair use, or a bespoke pipeline? Sales will scope it in one chat.
For Explorium customers
Switch from Explorium the same day
Tell us your Explorium plan, renewal date and roughly how much volume you pulled, and we will have your account set up the same day with your exported lists enriched and ready.
Talk to a real person
Open live chat and say “Explorium”, or email contact@swordfish.ai. A real person answers, not a bot.
Migrate from Explorium in an afternoon
Three steps for a typical team. If your export runs to millions of rows or Explorium was wired into something custom, skip to step three and ask sales to run it.
Export from Explorium
Download your lists and enriched files as CSV before 2 December. Keep name, company and LinkedIn URL columns; those are what Swordfish matches on.
Upload to Swordfish
Drop the CSV into Enrich Files. Swordfish fills in mobiles and emails and validates them, so your first outreach from the new tool starts clean.
Reconnect your stack
Install the Chrome extension, connect your CRM or ATS, and swap AgentSource for the Swordfish API or MCP. Anything bespoke, or any volume that needs uncapping, goes through live chat with sales.
Explorium alternative FAQ
Yes. Explorium announced on 3 November 2026 that it is ceasing operations. The platform and AgentSource stop on 2 December 2026.
Explorium has said unused credits will be refunded within 30 days. The details are in the notice sent to AgentSource customers; check yours and claim before the deadline.
It depends on which half of Explorium you used. For reaching people, with 80M+ verified US mobiles and validated emails, Swordfish.ai is the strongest replacement. For company research and trigger signals, pair it with a company-data tool.
Yes to both. The API is included on Team & Scale plans, and the Swordfish MCP connects to Claude, ChatGPT or your own agent so it can look up contact details in plain language. For high call volumes or a custom integration, talk to sales.
Uncapped plans under a fair-use policy, not credit packs. Professional is $99 a month, or $49 a month billed annually. Team & Scale is $299 a month, or $149 billed annually, with unlimited users, bulk enrichment and API. Enterprise, uncapped volume and custom data work are priced through sales.
When you want unrestricted access to millions of records, bulk data delivery, API or MCP volumes beyond fair use, SSO and invoicing, or a custom data workflow built around your own data. Everything smaller works on a self-serve plan today.
Yes. Export your lists as CSV before 2 December, upload them to Enrich Files, and you get the same records back with mobiles and emails filled in and validated. For a large export, ask sales to run it for you.
Fair question. Swordfish has sold the same product since 2019, accurate mobiles and emails on a simple subscription, to 100,000+ sales and recruiting professionals, and that is still the whole business. Nothing to pivot away from, no credit packs to run out of.
